We are now selling Kansas Pop Rocks. Mined in the state of Kansas. They started out as fossils from the Cretaceous period, around 80 million years ago. Over time bony material was replaced by pyrite. Sometimes you can see the original fossil imbedded in the rock. The name seems to have come about because someone threw a stone in the fire, and it exploded in a pyrotechnic display. Safety Note: Don’t try this at home! Popular thinking is that the smooth stone is female, and the rough one is male. Many powers are attributed to these stones, the main one being the ability to balance people’s auras.

Limited number of pieces within price ranges.

***As a product of nature, pieces will vary in color, shape, size and weight***
